Privacy, plainly.

Flozable stores the study data needed to provide your timer, planning, rooms, messages, and statistics. Guest study data stays on the device until you create an account.

Your profile search visibility and public study dashboard can be switched off independently in Settings. Live study status is visible only to room members and mutual friends under the preferences you choose.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand website visits, page navigation, and general usage. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes information such as page URLs, referring websites, and browser and device details. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in our tag. We also use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand traffic and page performance. These website analytics are separate from the Chrome extension.

Learn more about how Google uses information from partner sites and the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can permanently delete your Flozable account and associated local data in Settings.

Chrome extension

Flozable Focus stores your blocked and allowed website lists and blocking preferences locally in Chrome. You can edit them from the Flozable website through a local extension connection; these settings are not uploaded to our servers or synchronized through Chrome Sync.

The extension checks tab addresses locally, covers selected pages with a focus overlay, and pauses and mutes their media while you study. Pages remain loaded beneath the overlay. Focus blocking does not upload page contents. Keystrokes, browsing history, and website usage are not uploaded. Coursework connections described below are separate from blocking.

You can start a timed browser-only focus session without a Flozable account. Its start and end timestamps stay locally, blocking ends automatically, and it does not add account study time. If you separately enable the Flozable timer connection, the extension reads your current study timer using your existing Flozable sign-in. Existing enabled timer connections are retained on update. The current timer and subject name are kept temporarily for the browser session. It does not copy your passwords or authentication tokens. Website access and scripting let it place the overlay; tabs, storage, and alarms support local rules, preferences, and timer checks.

Optional coursework connections

You can connect Blackboard Ultra, Canvas, or Gradescope by entering the platform website in the Chrome extension, or connect a calendar feed. The connection screen explains what will be saved before you connect. Calendar imports also provide a preview. On a new extension installation, assignment titles, course names, deadlines, source links, submission labels, reported grades, and your checklist progress are saved locally in that Chrome profile. No Flozable account is required. If you explicitly enable coursework sync, these details are copied to your signed-in Flozable account in Supabase so the website and extension can show them together. School connections made through the signed-in website use the cloud workspace. Existing synced users keep their connections after an update. A local cache of cloud coursework supports viewing while reconnecting; editing requires a validated session. Assignment answers and school login details are never collected or uploaded.

Private calendar sharing links stay in trusted local Chrome storage. The extension uses them to refresh connected calendars about every 15 minutes while Chrome runs. Calendar feeds may include non-assignment events and do not report submission status. After you connect a Blackboard, Canvas, or Gradescope site, bundled content scripts make read-only requests to that school using your existing browser session. They retrieve course names, assignment metadata, due dates, submission states, and reported grades, and display a sidebar within Blackboard, Canvas, or Gradescope. They do not open scan tabs, read passwords, or send school session credentials to Flozable. Sync runs when requested and periodically while a connected school tab is open. Unavailable or unsupported courses are not read; partial results are identified without deleting previous assignments. A school user identifier (hashed for Gradescope) stays in trusted Chrome storage to prevent mixing accounts. Gradescope reads your account dashboard and student course lists and may read account settings to verify identity locally; your school email is not retained or uploaded, and it does not visit assignment or submission pages during a refresh.

Disconnecting a source removes its coursework from the active local or cloud workspace. Your separately saved local workspace is retained when enabling cloud sync. Switching back to the local workspace pauses cloud coursework refreshes; it does not delete cloud data or merge later edits between the two workspaces. Each connected Chrome profile deletes its matching local sharing link on its next connection check. Uninstalling deletes local coursework, sharing links, focus sessions, and extension settings, but does not delete coursework already saved to your account. Deleting your Flozable account removes your coursework.

You can pause protection in Browser protection or the extension, revoke website access in Chrome, or uninstall it to remove its stored settings. No advertising, browsing analytics, or remote executable code is included in the extension.
